Iris Fryer is an artist from Bradford, Ontario. While primarily an oil painter, she enjoys drawing, printmaking, sculpture, pottery and stained glass.
Iris attended art classes as a teen and received her Bachelor of Fine Art degree from Queen’s University in 2015.
She has experience teaching adult life drawing classes as well as art classes for young people and is excited to teach this unique program!

Life drawing “lite” for teens seeking to expand their knowledge and skill of drawing the human figure, without the awkwardness of facing full nudity.
This gateway class will inform and educate with a measure of modesty. Over 5 class sessions, students will explore the fundamentals of figure drawing; learning and understanding the structure, proportion, and the anatomical form of the human figure, starting with short gestural drawings moving into longer poses.
Professional Models will be clothed in bathing suits, underpants or light draping. Large format paper and some drawing materials will be provided. Students are urged to bring their own sketchbooks. For ages 14-18.
